Sun Microsystems of Canada Appoints Brad Keates Vice President of its Client Solutions Organization; Christian Primeau named Vice President of Alliances, Channels and Partner Sales

Markham, ON. - October 18, 2005 - Sun Microsystems of Canada Inc., today announced two key executive promotions within organization. The company has appointed Brad Keates as vice president, Client Solutions Organization, for Canada, and Christian Primeau has been named vice president of Alliances, Channels and Partner Sales. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Reporting to Stéphane Boisvert, Keates is responsible for helping customers link their IT strategy to their business goals, by leveraging their IT infrastructure to support the overall business strategy. Also reporting to the president, Primeau will direct Sun's Canadian channel organization, working with partners to help customers focus on their technology-based business issues. He is responsible for rolling out and the Sun Partner Advantage Program in Canada, which will provide Sun partners with greater access to Sun's insight, experience, and resources, such as product solutions, and marketing and sales support.

"Christian's expertise with both the technology and business requirements of some of Canada's largest companies makes him ideally suited to lead Sun's partner initiatives. Brad's experience working with customers directly and through Sun's partner network makes him particularly qualified to understand and meet the needs of Canada's diverse business markets."

Previously, Mr. Keates held the position of Vice President of Alliances, Channels and Partner Sales at Sun, where he was responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for Sun's partner community in Canada. He has been with Sun for more than 15 years, in a variety of technical sales, marketing and management positions.

Mr. Primeau was formerly Sun's National District Manager, for Bell Canada Enterprises. He has held increasingly senior positions with Sun for 11 years.
