The Sun Fire V215/245 Server Administration course provides students with the information necessary to perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of issues on the Sun Fire V215 and V245 servers. This includes performing FRU replacements, configuring RAID, and using ALOM to troubleshoot issues.

Module 2 - Sun Fire V215/V245 Server Architectural Overview
- Provide an overview of the major architectural features of the Sun Fire V215/V245 servers
- Describe the processor architecture
- Describe the I/O subsystem
- Describe the environmental architecture and how it interfaces with the main server architecture
- List the paths and addresses for system buses and devices
Module 3 - Sun Fire V215/V245 Server Setup
- List the steps required for the initial setup of the Sun Fire V215/V245 servers
- Rack-mount the Sun Fire V215/V245 servers
- Power-on the ALOM processor
- Power-on and -off the host
- Identify CRUs and FRUs
- Perform CRU and FRU procedures
- Describe what the ALOM processor monitors
