Module 1 - Key Features of the Sun Fire X2200 M2 Server

• Describe the specifications and key technologies of the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server
• Identify and describe the three available server configurations
• List the physical characteristics of the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server
• Identify the visible components on the front and rear of the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server
• Compare the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server to other servers in the Sun product line
• List the target industries and applications for the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server

Module 2 - The Sun Fire X2200 M2 Server Architecture and Internal System Components

• Describe the architectural features of the Sun Fire X2200 M2 servers
• Locate and describe the major system components of the server

Module 3 - Rack Installation

• Identify supported rack types
• Install the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server in a rack on slides
• Install the cable-management assembly for the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server

Module 4 - The Sun Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM)

• Describe the ILOM features and functionality
• Configure the ILOM
• Use the Web graphical user interface of the ILOM service processor
• Use the ILOM Remote Console application
• Use the command-line interface of the ILOM service processor
• Administer ILOM users
• Update the ILOM/BIOS firmware

Module 5 - Operating System Software Installation

• List the supported operating systems for the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server
• List the preinstallation tasks associated with an operating system installation
• List the steps involved in installing an operating system on the Sun Fire X2200 M2 server
• Describe the Sun Installation Assistant
• Install operating system software as well as additional software using the Sun Installation Assistant
